An Intelligent Dummy

A scenic to start  your day. My daily hike out our back door and up Moose Mountain ends at South Peak, which affords a nice view of Goose Pond. Part of Goose, which is larger than you would think from this picture (it has six miles of shoreline) is in Hanover, but to get there you have to drive around the mountain. The peak in the background is Cardigan. Click the photo for a better view.

On my daily rounds I discover a lot of material for this site but I can't find it all, which is why I appreciate the occasional link sent this way. Not having a Facebook account (and obnoxiously proud of that fact) I hadn't seen the following, which was shared by a friend:

What is it, you ask. It's a Mobile Tackling Target being developed by Dartmouth engineers (including former defensive tackle Elliot Kastner '13 in cooperation with football coach Buddy Teevens. The idea is to have a motorized device to allow players to practice tackling without getting hurt.
